Joanne Ogilvie

One half of the firm’s Saskatchewan Roughriders fan club, Joanne Ogilvie joined McCrea as a paralegal in 2016 after moving to Vancouver from Regina via Toronto. An activist at heart, she came to the immigration world through working in non-profits serving refugees and immigrants. Joanne has a degree in sociology and has completed the immigration practice certificate at UBC. Her time outside of work is spent writing, running, being an over-bearing dog-mom and fighting injustice.

In addition to her paralegal duties, Joanne plans our office parties so we don't forget what each other look like, manages the overall functioning of the office and fields complaints when the beer & wine fridge runs low.  She is also navigating the complex permitting process for the installation of a permanent in-office chocolate fondue machine.
